rites of passage
Our society has lost what many ancient peoples practiced throughout a lifetime, honoring the cycles of life with rites of passage ceremonies. Danielle is available to facilitate ceremonies that honor the sacred transitions one makes. Each ceremony follows a basic template that is altered and molded to your beliefs, wishes and concepts so that is it unique and special, matching your level of comfort.
Menarche - A Menarche ceremony honors a girl who is becoming a young woman, one who is fully stepping into Maidenhood with the rhythms of the moon. A Menarche lets a young woman know that others have been through this stage of life and that all of her feelings are natural. This is a ceremony that is for women only, a time to honor the young woman’s first menstruation, or done near her 12th or 13th birthday.
Mother Blessing - A Mother Blessing ceremony celebrates the mystery of motherhood. The Blessingway ceremony honors the journey of the mother as she prepares for birth and being a mother. Pregnancy offers a ripe time for the community to nurture the mother and support her through this important rite of passage.
Coming into Cronehood - When we women stop the menses, we are truly holding in and containing our inherent wisdom. As we become a Crone, this is a unique time to honor the process of becoming one of the wise ones, a leader in the realm of women and humanity.
Doulaing for the dying - Death is much like birth. Each undertakes a process of the soul transitioning from one realm to the next. As we pass on to another realm we are being reborn. This transformation offers a time to have a grounded presence that can offer a sacred space for the dying to transition with peace.

"Danielle is a truly spiritual woman, peaceful and powerful. She did a blessing ceremony for me and a coming of age ceremony for my step daughter. She made both events memorable and meaningful. I would hire her again in a heartbeat."
